U12 Boys Win Division

U12's Win Division

The HAYFC U12 boys stormed through to win the Chiltern Youth 2011 Division 4 title with 18 wins, 4 draws and 2 losses.

As well as reaching the lower league cup semi-finals, this is the teams 3rd consecutive year of winning promotion.

U11 Girls Win CJ7 League

U11 Girls win League Title

Our U11 Girls team won the league in style with a 4-1 win yesterday.

The girls have only lost one game so far this season with two games left to play.

U12 Girls Win Mursley Tournament

U12 Girls win their first tournament

Our U12 Girls team finally got their first win at the Mursley 6-a-side tournament.

The girls played 8 games with no subs, and finally won on penalties against last years winners Ruislip Rangers.

U7's Win F.A. Fair Play Trophy

U7's Get off to a flying start

Our U7's team won their first trophy at the recent F.A Fair Play tournament.

The team are looking forward to playing their first season together as U8s in September.

U10 Boys Win Division

At the 2010 club presentation day, the U10 boys were awarded the division 3 title by Philippa Finlay (secretary of the Bedfordshire Mini Soccer League). This is the teams first season and after losing the first game 2-1, they won the next 17 games in a row.

The team decided to celebrate in style.

U11 Boys Win Promotion 2 years in a Row

Well done boy's!

The Under 11 boys celebrate after winning promotion to division 1.

The U11 boys team finished strongly again this season with 13 wins and 2 drawn games out of 18 matches.

U12 Girls are League Cup Runners Up

The U12 Girls team enjoyed lots of support from family and friends as they played in the League Cup final against Kempston Colts.

A strong performance was put in by both teams but the result finally went Kempston's way who won 2-1.

U16 Boys reach County Cup Semi-finals

The U16 Boys team managed to reach the semi-finals of the County Cup. To get to the semis, the team played in every round of the cup, and were able to beat two division one teams.

During the game, the boys fought well but, with key players missing, eventually lost 3-0 to Barnfield Colts.

U11 Girls reach finals at Mursley

Our U11 Girls team did us proud at the recent Mursley 6-a-side tournament. The team was split into two equal 6 a-side teams. Both teams reached the semi-finals, while one team went on to the finals (having won the qualifying group stages).

Raising Club Awareness at Carnival

Houghton Athletic Youth took the opportunity to raise awareness of the club at the local Houghton Regis Carnival. On display, we showed some of the equipment, trophies, coaching certificates and awards that the club has gained. Even the Houghton Regis Lion couldn't resist a go on our speed test.

Charter Standard Club of the Year

Houghton Athletic Youth FC have just been voted FA Charter Standard Development Club of the Year for Bedfordshire. A certificate was presented the club during the recent Beds FA AGM.
